An important and vital staple in South Indian households, castor oil is still utilised today. Castor oil has a bad reputation for many of us, thanks to our grandmothers drenching us in it every time we had a bath.
It is our goal to revive the centuries-old practise of Castor Oil baths and to raise awareness of the many healing properties of Castor Oil.
Lauded for its astonishing results, castor oil requires little in the way of introduction. The oil is extracted in a traditional process of boiling castor seeds without adding any chemical solvents. The extract is a powerhouse formula for detoxification in the navel area, especially liver.

What makes our Castor Oil unique?
Vrudhi Castor oil is a one-of-a-kind oil made by boiling castor seeds in water until all of the water has evaporated. The result is an oil that hasn’t had any solvents added to it. Our oil is unprocessed, meaning it hasn’t been bleached, deodorised, or refined. As a result, our oil has its own colour and odour, which helps in retaining its inherent properties.

Castor oil is traditionally used for hair to aid hair growth and darken the hair. Warm the oil if needed and apply it on the sclap and on the hair from roots to ends.
Castor oil has a high viscosity, so it is normal to feel sticky.
Castor oil is considered very healthy for the skin. It deeply moisturises and clears scars and blemishes. Apply the oil to your skin and wash it off after 20-30 minutes.
Apply a drop to the eyebrows and spread evenly. This will darken and thin your eyebrows. You can leave it overnight or wash it off after 20-30 min.
Castor oil is dense in viscosity and it is difficult to wash with shampoo. We recommend washing hair and skin with Shikakai powder or gramme flour to remove the oil. It may need 3-5 washes to completely remove the oil.
For best results, we highly recommend Vrudhi Shikakai products that are natural and provide deep conditioning.
Castor oil is a highly recommended oil to detoxify deep tissues. A regular application to the abdomen and naval area detoxifies the tissues and internal organs.
Castor oil is very cooling. It helps in balancing excess Pitta. If left on the scalp for a long time, one can cause a cold and sneezing. The time duration to keep the oil on the scalp depends on your body type, and one will understand what time works for them based on experience. Start with 15-20 min to begin with and then increase the duration.
Vrudhi Castor oil does not go through any processing like bleaching, discolouration, or deodorization. You may find the oil to have a distinct odour and colour, which is its natural quality.

My review of Vrudhi Castor Oil.
It is truly a boon. Its versatility is remarkable. Just two drops on the navel at night effectively alleviate constipation. I haven’t faced this issue of constipation at all throughout pregnancy and post delivery because of this. Also, applying two drops around the eyes promotes good sleep and reduces dark circles. Additionally, using two drops on the eyebrows helps them grow thicker.
Also, my son has a heat body, and we gave him full body massage every week with this castor oil this summer, and he had no episodes of nose bleeding at all. Overall a must have at home.

I always keep a bottle of Vrudhi Castor oil handy with me. I use it for many purposes. Skin issues, under eyes, rashes, stomachache etc. It also cured a stye in my eye without a doctor visit. The quality of Vrudhi Castor oil is better than what is available in the market. Its more viscous and stays for longer.

The best oil out there, I had toe nail infection on my right leg. Skin had turned to black and was in pain. I applied this oil for 4 days before going to sleep. Pain is gone, toe nail is getting better. Skin around it has improved a lot. I am glad that I applied Vrudhi Castor oil instead of applying antibiotics cream.
